Ryan Murphy, Torri Huske Highlight 2026 Sacramento Pro Series Psych Sheets

2026 Sacramento Pro Series

  • May 20-23, 2026
  • Sacramento, CA
  • LCM (50 meters)
  • Psych Sheets

The Sacramento Pro Series psych sheets have dropped and the meet looks to have bigger names this year than a year ago. Highlighting the psych sheets are Ryan Murphy and Torri Huske.

Murphy will make his return to competition after taking a break from racing since the 2024 Paris Olympics where he won bronze in the 100 backstroke. Murphy is the top seed in the 100 backstroke with a 52.08. He also is entered in the 50 back as the #22 seed, primarily because his entry time is a 100 backstroke time.

The women’s side is highlighted by Huske who is entered in seven events. Huske could swim all seven if she wants as athletes are allowed seven events total and a maximum of three in one day. She is coming off of her senior season at Stanford where she swam to NCAA titles in the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 fly. This will be her first long course meet since the 2025 World Championships.

Huske’s Entries:

  • 200 IM: #1 seed
  • 200 free: #2 seed
  • 100 fly: #1 seed
  • 50 free: #1 seed
  • 200 back: #16 seed
  • 50 fly: #4 seed
  • 100 free: #1 seed

Her 200 backstroke entry stands out as she has not swam the long course version of the event since 2018. She is entered as the #16 seed with a short course yards entry time. Huske notably led off Stanford’s 200 medley relay at NCAAs in a 22.98 50 back which made her the #5 performer all-time in the SCY 50 back.

After missing the 2026 Men’s NCAA Championships due to a “minor injury,” Luca Urlando is on the psych sheets in the 200 free (#7 seed), 100 fly (#2 seed), 200 fly (#1 seed), and 50 fly (#9 seed). Urlando did not disclose the injury but has battled injury before, having shoulder surgery back in 2022.

Bella Sims and Claire Weinstein have made their way back to training with Sandpipers of Nevada for the summer. Both appear on the psych sheets with Weinstein entered in the 100 free, 200 free, 400 free, and 800 free. Sims is entered in the 100 free, 200 free, 400 free, 100 fly, 200 fly, and 50 back.

Ooh, Huske is swimming at this event! yay!

Also thrilled to see Urlando listed. Really hope he’s recovered from whatever injury kept him out of the NCAAs

Michael Andrew and Torri Huske will probably draw the most attention, but I am curious about some of the underclassmen who had good/breakout NCAA seasons and how they stack up in LCM. I will be keeping an eye out for Liberty Clark, Mia West and Ethan Ekk among others. Taylor Ruck seems to be quietly coming back into form. I think the last Pan Pacs was held in 2018 and Ruck was the top female swimmer if I member correctly.

Mea culpa, I looked it up and I forgot about Cate Campbell, but Ruck did have an outstanding 2018 Pan Pacs, that was before COVID and everything seems so long ago

Undoubtedly ..she came to win 8 medals last year..unfortunately she fought so hard with massively affected illness and put her soul to bring 2 WR s home with that heart full performances including 04 medals.

Backstroke is probably Modglin or Diehl based on World University Games result of last year and Fly is definitely Rose or Casas this summer cause Kharun is not on the team for Pan Pacs.

Modglin and Diehl are good bets but I would not count out a 53 LC guy who just went 43.9 in yards.

The Pan Pacs team is already set. No one else can get on the roster now. Modglin and Diehl are already on it

Hard to take that over Modglin, who’s already 52.5 LC and 43.3 in yards

Can someone remind me what the $ means in the psych sheet?

Something administrative and not important to the average swim fan. Can’t remember which symbol means “they need to renew their membership” versus which symbol means “they need to update their annual athlete protection training,” but it’s something like that.

I wouldn’t go that far cause we’re like two years away but i guess besides Murphy there’s probably Modglin but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s one of those two.

I could see Murphy potentially on the relay eventually since the 100 back isn’t very deep. Dressel idk about. The 100 fly is so much deeper especially once Kharun begins representing the US officially

Lisa

Yeah I think 100 fly is definitely looks wide open if Kharun is making the team especially for that second spot cause you’re gonna have Dressel,Casas,Rose and probably Heilman going for it and the good news for Dressel is that we’re like two years away from trials.

Hank

Heilman seems to peak at trials no? I hope he can develop into a strong double taper competitor. Casas is dangerous if on. I don’t see Rose in the top 2 of this field but he has a chance if anyone else is having a bad day. LA is far off but 2027 World Champs trials is only a year out.

Kharun is an assets ..he went 49.8/ 49.6 on his relay efforts..

And freestyle is safe with Alexy.

Breastroke split aslo in good hands with Van..if he fails in case the Daddy Fink is back in trainings..

Backstroke is the only loophole. We need 52.3 or better leadoff to break the WR or win the gold.

It could be Murphy in that Backstroke spot. We don’t know where he is at so far because he hasnt raced since Paris. But he has been going anyway from 51.9 to 52.3 for like 10 years, he’s very consistent.

Hank

Kharun is a contender on the 100fly but I think he should be relay ineligible since he swam for Canada before

How do you see the relay playing out for either 2027 Worlds or LA 2028?

my opinion: but people come to California to sight see, not just go to a swim meet and go home. Sacramento is not a great place for that

Mijatovic in the 1500? Did someone forget to tell him he’s retired from the event?

He’s probably done with it at big meets but maybe he’s swimming it to help with training for the 800

Andre

I think Mijatovic will eventually become mainly a 200/400 swimmer, ocasionally swimming the 800 and never the 1500, like Thorpe

I think he’ll swim the 800 more frequently. He’s better at it than the 200, at least right now.
