Is the Orlando Y REALLY going to leave nasty looking 6′ high chain link fence around the pool and out in the parking lot while they host Olympians? It certainly adds an interesting touch of classlessness to the environment.

Don’t the Cal guys have Pac 12s this week? Murphy, Prenot, Seliskar are entered in the meet

At the very least both Murphy and Seliskar are entered. Next week is Men’s Pac-12s as well. Can see Dressel entering as he is close and it is a free weekend but are the Cal guys really choosing the Orlando Grand Prix over Pac 12s?

Very weird indeed. After looking through the psych sheet Cal has entered Murphy, Prenot, Pebley, Dezwirek, and Seliskar. Would be interesting to know if they are entered in the Pac-12 psych sheet as well…

BIG PICTURE: Olympics!!!!!!!!!!! I am glad their coaches are acting in the swimmers’ best interest and letting them get some long course swimming in. What would make more of a difference to Murphy’s life- another Pac-12 (or even NCAA) title, or an Olympic medal? College swimming is great and meaningful, but should be kept in perspective for the top tier swimmers in an Olympic year. A great Olympic showing reflects well on a college team as well.
