USOC Reorganizes Leadership, Critics Express ‘Disappointment’

The U.S. Olympic Committee announced some changes to its staff this week, touting the changes as focused on making the organization more responsive to athletes. But one of the organization’s chief critics, the Committee to Restore Integrity, immediately expressed “disappointment” that the reorganization didn’t include more major reforms.

Villanova Men Lead After Day 1 of Big East Championships

The Villanova men are in the lead after the first day of competition at the Big East Championships with 116 points, while Villanova and Xavier women share the top spot with 74 points.

Missouri State Leads Coming Out of MVC Championships Day 1

The 2019 Missouri Valley Conference Championships kicked off last night in Columbia, MO. Missouri State comes out of the night 2 points ahead of Northern Iowa in the team battle after taking 2nd in the 200 medley relay, and winning the 800 free relay.

Previewing the 2019 New Mexico State Boys Championships

Last year’s NMAA champions, Eldorado, are seeded 5th when the meet is scored out, and while La Cueva looks strong with a 28-point lead heading to the meet, there will be lots of competition among the other teams, with second through fourth places separated by a mere 12 points. All in all, this should be an entertaining meet, and relatively fast for New Mexico as a state and the NMAA.
