Quinn Buck from Doylestown, Pennsylvania has announced his verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of South Carolina in the class of 2026.
“Between bringing a new coaching staff coming in and the university as a whole on the rise USC provided the best opportunity to better my academics and athletics. The program is on the rise and I cannot wait to be a part of it.”
A senior at La Salle College High School, Buck is the defending Pennsylvania High School Class 3A state champion in the 50 free. He won the event, stunning the field with 20.29 from out in lane 8 at the 2021 PIAA Boys 3A Swimming and Diving State Championships last March. He also contributed to three relays, helping the Lancers win the title for the fifth year in a row.
Buck does his club swimming with Central Bucks Swim Team. In addition to the lifetime bests he swam in the 50/100 free during junior year high school season, he notched PBs in the 200 free, 100 breast, and 100 fly at the 2021 Senior Keystone Classic last spring. Buck has not swum long course since the summer of 2018.

Buck will be the first La Salle College High School swimmer to suit up for the Gamecocks. He will join high school teammates Sam Kohm (2022) and Zach Kohm (2021), both Georgia commits, in the SEC. He is the first public verbal commit to new head coach Jeff Poppell‘s men’s program.
