Notre Dame has added Jess Geriane to its coaching staff for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. Geriane spent her collegiate career with the Fighting Irish.
Geriane spent her undergraduate career with Notre Dame from 2021-2025 and majored in Cinematography and Film/Video Production. During her time with the Fighting Irish, she
Geriane returned to Notre Dame for her graduate degree this past year and graduated with a Master’s of Digital Marketing. She spent the 2025-2026 season as a student assistant for the program.
During his time as an athlete with the program, Geriane most notably made the 2025 NCAA Championships as a relay swimmer in her senior season. She led the team’s 200 medley relay off in a 23.96 and split a 21.84 on the 200 free relay. Both relays finished 26th at 2025 NCAAs. She was a member of both school record setting relays and her 50 back lead off from NCAAs sits as the school record.
In addition to her 50 backstroke school record, Geriane also sits at #2 all-time in the 50 free (22.29) and #6 in the 100 back (52.87).
Notre Dame just finished its first season under head coach Michael Norment, who arrived after spending time as an associate head coach of the Georgia men. It also was the first season after the men’s program returned from their suspension during the 2024-2025 season.
The Notre Dame were 9th out of 15 teams while the women women were 11th out of 15 teams at the 2026 ACC Championships. The women were 33rd with nine points, and the men were 37th with 11 points at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
