Taylor Ruck took down a legendary Canadian 13-14 age group mark tonight in the finals of the 400m freestyle, claiming fourth with a time of 4:13.51.

Taylor Ruck Just Shy Of Canadian Record In Prelims, Will Have Another Go At It In Finals

That time for Ruck came dangerously close to the 13-14 Canadian age-group record in the 400 which stands at 4:14.60. That record was set back in 1976 at the Montreal Olympic Games when 14-year-old Shannon Smith took the bronze behind Shirley Babashoff.

Tonight, four more swimmers met the priority one selection criteria punching in their tickets to the 2015 World Championships in Kazan, Russia. Two swimmers made it in the 100 freestyle, and two made it in the 400m IM.
