Merrimack & Stonehill Trade Wins In Home & Home Senior Day Series

ANDOVER, MA – Senior Kendray Daily won two events as the Merrimack women’s swimming & diving team defeated Stonehill on Senior Day Friday.

“Today was a good day for the team,” Merrimack head coach Erin Cammann said. “We always love swimming in front of home fans, and the team was especially motivated because it was our senior recognition meet. This senior class has been tremendous for us, both in terms of their performance in the pool and their leadership out of it, and everyone was very motivated to send them off with a victory in their last home meet. Mission accomplished.”

Daily won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.50 and the 100 freestyle in 53.59. Junior Casey Bednarek won the 200 IM in 2:14.80 and the 200 butterfly in 2:13.07.

Senior Neva Sa won the 200 freestyle in 1:57.84 and was runner-up in the 100 free in 54.51. Freshman Julia Tejeda was outtouched by .01 in the 1,650, finishing second in a a time of 18:22.68.

Freshman Sophie Ferrara won 1-meter diving with a score of 208.80.

The 200-freestyle relay team of senior Cameron Zuliani, junior Madison McAloon, Daily and junior Emma McCarthy took first in a time of 1:42.21.

Merrimack’s 800-freestyle relay team of Sa, Tejada, freshman Ally Jacques and Bednarek placed first in a time of 8:11.36.

Merrimack has a quick turnaround, travelling to Stonehill for a 7 p.m. meet on Saturday at the Massasoit Community College Pool.

BROCKTON, MA – Senior Neva Sa won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle, but the Merrimack women’s swimming & diving team lost to Stonehill 145-135 on Saturday night at Massassoit Community College.

Sa swam the 200-yard freestyle in 1:59.33 and the 500 freestyle in 5:18.31.

“We battled tonight, but came up a little short,” Merrimack head coach Erin Cammann said. “Yesterday was a great example of a fantastic team win, and today we had a bunch of individually stellar performances, but didn’t quite pull it off.”

Senior Cameron Zuliani won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.81 and took second in the 50 butterfly in 27.57. Sophia Ferrara won the 1-meter diving with a score of 234.70. Freshman Liz Vurta won the 100 backstroke in 1:02.73. Merrimack’s won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:45.25 Zuliani, Camila De La RosaAlly Jacques and Madison McAloon.

The Warriors had defeated Stonehill 130-92 on Friday night, but were swimming without senior captain Kendra Daily on Saturday night.

Merrimack returns to action at the 2026 MAAC Championships Feb. 11-14 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, OH.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (Jan. 23, 2026) – The Stonehill swimming & diving team fell on the road at Merrimack by a score of 130-92 Friday evening.

Junior Isabella Rodriguez took first place in the 1650 freestyle, defeating the competition with a mark of 18:22.68. Sophomore Lily Peterson won the 200 breaststroke, touching the wall in 2:27.41.

Freshman Emma Kawai was first in the 200 backstroke, winning in 2:13.81, and she posted her season-best time in the 200 freestyle, placing second in 2:00.40.

Stonehill (3-6) will host Merrimack (4-6) at Massasoit Community College for Senior Day on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7 p.m.

BROCKTON, Mass. (Jan. 24, 2026) – The Stonehill swimming & diving team concluded its dual-meet schedule by defeating Merrimack by a score of 145-135 at Massasoit Community College Pool Saturday evening.

With the team honoring seniors Kristy Barry and Taylor Belanger, the Skyhawks opened the meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay, as Barry and Belanger joined sophomore Elizabeth Weston and junior Grace Idowu to win the event with a collective time of 1:52.18.

Barry also won the 50 freestyle in 25.30 and the 100 freestyle, touching the wall in 54.39.

Sophomore Lily Peterson swept the 50 breaststroke (31.85) and 100 breaststroke (1:08.80). Freshman Emma Kawai capped the team victory by winning the 400 individual medley in 4:47.64.

Stonehill divers sophomore Molly Clifford (221.15), freshman Sophia Sierpina (164.10) and Weston (150.25) all posted their highest scores of the season.

Stonehill (4-6) will host its second Purple and White Meet at Massasoit Community College Pool on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m.
