Note: Le Moyne reports that the women’s meet ended in a 102-102 tie (and a different score in the men’s meet). However, the results file shows the 102-102 score with the new score, reported by LIU, beside it: 135-126 for the Sharks. The LIU press release was issued four hours after Le Moyne’s, so we’re trusting LIU’s is correct for the time being.

Gomez Janeiro claimed first place in both the 1,000-yard freestyle and 200-yard butterfly as well as a second-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke.

Ciorna (200-yard freestyle), Novais Lima (50-yard freestyle), and Aryka Bennett (100-yard butterfly) all also claimed first-place finishes for the Sharks.

“We had solid swims from both teams,” said head coach Jon Pepaj. “We won multiple events on the men’s side but just didn’t have enough depth. It was our first meet back since ECACs. We have been in a training camp for two weeks now and with that in mind, they swam really well.”

The Sharks return to action on Jan. 23, where they are scheduled to compete at Wagner College at 5 p.m.
