Liberty Swimming & Diving Announces 2025-26 Schedule

LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty Swimming & Diving team has announced its 2025-26 schedule, highlighted by the team’s first appearance at American Conference Swimming & Diving Championships. Highlights of the schedule also include flight trips to Tulane and FIU, along with a visit from Big Ten opponent Rutgers.
      The Lady Flames, under the direction of 16th-year Head Coach Jake Shellenberger, won the 2025 ASUN Swimming & Diving Championships, capturing their seventh straight conference title. On July 1, the Lady Flames joined the American Conference as an affiliate member in women’s swimming & diving. The 2026 American Conference Swimming & Diving Championships will be held Feb. 18-21 at Greensboro Natatorium.
      Lynchburg area swimming & diving fans will have several opportunities to see the Lady Flames in action at the Liberty Natatorium. Liberty opens the schedule with an exhibition meet against University of Lynchburg on Sept. 26.
      The Lady Flames host Rutgers and East Carolina for a home meet on Oct. 3-4 at Liberty Natatorium to begin the season. That weekend will serve as the team’s Alumnae Reunion and Breast Cancer Awareness Meet.
      Liberty will wrap up October with three straight away meets at Tulane (Oct. 10-11), Campbell (Oct. 25) and FIU (Oct. 31-Nov. 1).
      The seventh-annual TYR ’85 Invite will be held Nov. 21-23 at Liberty Natatorium.
      During the month of January, Liberty will compete at UNC Asheville on Jan. 16-17 before hosting Campbell for a senior meet, Jan. 23-24.
      The 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Championships will be hosted in Atlanta, Ga., March 18-21.
