Klaudia Nazieblo Breaks Polish National Record in 100 Butterfly

2021 INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING LEAGUE – SEASON 3, MATCH 3

Klaudia Nazieblo, representing the DC Trident in the 2021 season of the International Swimming League, broke a 14-year-old Polish National Record in the 100 meter butterfly on Saturday in Naples. Nazieblo swam a 57.19 to shave 0.35 from the former record, set by Otylia Jedrzejczak at the 2007 European Championships in Debrecen, Hungary.

Jedrzejczak is one of the greatest swimmers in Polish history and is the 2004 Olympic gold medalist in the 200 butterfly. DC Trident GM Kaitlin Sandeno also competed in the 200 butterfly at the Athens 2004 Olympics, finishing just 0.14 outside of the medals in 4th.

In Match 4, Nazieblo also swam the 200 butterfly (2:07.70, 3rd), the 50 butterfly (26.14, 8th), the women’s 4 x 100 freestyle relay (54.01 split, 6th), and the women’s 4 x 100 medley relay (57.27 butterfly split, 5th).

Nazieblo’s swim is a big improvement over her performance in Match 1 where she posted a 57.94 in the 100 butterfly.
