The Kenyon women broke their own Division III record in the 400 medley relay as Gwen Eisenbeis, Kelsey Van Eldik, Nora Kortuem, and Lisa Torrecillas-Jouault swam to a 3:37.94. That broke Kenyon’s own D3 record of a 3:38.05 set by the team back at 2022 NCAAs.

The biggest difference today was the breaststroke leg as Kelsey Van Eldik blasted a 59.25. Van Eldik enters the meet with a flat start best of a 1:00.76 but she could look to become the 2nd Division III swimmer to break the 1:00 mark in the event as her time tonight indicates. She notably was not used on the team’s relay a year ago as Jennah Fadely, who won the D3 title a year ago, split a 59.30.
The Kenyon women will look to continue their strong showing tomorrow as they currently sit at #2 in the team standings with 108.5 points, just behind NYU’s 121 points. Their win in the 400 medley relay marked their 20th in program history in the event, with their last win coming in 2023. No other school has won the event more than eight times (Williams).

Lets go Owls!!
Relays tonight were electric! And by the way, they were prelims and finals (with a B final too!)
