WOMEN’S 100 METER BREASTSTROKE – FINALS

  • U.S. Olympic Trials: 1:11.49

Alia Atkinson was only .03 behind Katie Meili at the first wall, but Meili came home in 35.15 to take the win in 1:06.49 to Atkinson’s 1:06.84.  That time by Meili ties her for 8th in the year and makes her the second fastest American, only .06 behind Lily King.  The only other swimmer under 1:07 was Molly Hannis (1:06.95).  Jessica Hardytouched 4th in 1:07.09, followed by Sarah Haase (1:07.53) and Hilda Luthersdottir (1:07.85).  Melanie Margalisand Haley Spencer rounded out the field in 1:07.97 and 1:08.69, respectively.
