Kate Douglass on 3 Wins in Carmel: “Might as well try to get the triple crown in all of those”

2025 SWIMMING WORLD CUP – CARMEL

Kate Douglass put on a dominant performance in Carmel, winning the 100 free, 100 breast, and 200 breast, while finishing 2nd in the 100 IM to boot. After her results, the Olympic champion says she will be sticking with the same event lineup, going for triple crowns in all 3 events she won at stop #1. Douglass is extremely versatile and has a number of events she could be competitive in, but the breaststroke/sprint free lineup seems to be agreeing with her so far in the circuit.

HOW TO WATCH THE WORLD AQUATICS WORLD CUP

A comprehensive look at television and streaming options for the meet can be found here.

U.S. viewers can watch both prelims and finals on the USA Swimming Network and Peacock, Canadians can stream every session on CBC, and the source for the majority of European nations will be the Eurovision Sport platform.

The competition will also be streamed live and on-demand with the World Aquatics Recast channel. A three-day pass requires 590 credits, which costs $8.26 USD.

Hello, I’m a swimming fan from South Korea who enjoys Swimsam. Sorry to leave a comment that isn’t related to this article, but I’d like to go see the 15th National Games of china swimming event in November, so if anyone knows how to pay online and get tickets, could I get some help?

Is there any chance we could get audio of all the interviews pieced together and uploaded to the podcast feeds please? Like however many interviews you got in Carmel back-to-back.

Thanks Braden, really appreciate it!!! It’s helpful to have something that autoplays for the event as a whole.

It can go either way, as MOC is a beast. It is nice to see what KD can do in the 100 when that is her only race.

she’s gonna smoke Mollie. If KD didn’t have the 200 breast on the same day as the 100 free, she’d have easily been the world champion in the 100 free

She was 1st at Olympic trial but gave up the spot. Also split 51.9, 52.0 at worlds. The unfortunate of scheduling almost always have 100 free and 200 breast on the same day and 2breast being her signature race she has to give up the 100 free or know that she need to save energy for it if doing double. You can see that she love racing the 100 free when she can, give up the guaranty medals and triple crown of 2IM for it. Just when it is 2breast and 1free, 2 breast would come first.

Well done on piecing together the interviews. Scary that she still has experience to gain in the 100BR… additional drops incoming?
