The Athletics Department at California State University, Bakersfield, a NCAA Division I institution, invites applications for a Men’s and Women’s Diving Coach. This is a part-time (0.50 FTE / 20 hours per week), temporary, non-tenured 12-month position available Spring 2026.
The diving coach will support the head coach in all aspects of team management, athlete development, competition strategy, and recruiting.
Responsibilities include: teaching and instructing student-athletes in diving technique and technical skill areas; developing individual and team strategies; designing instructional programs; evaluating and recruiting prospective student-athletes; monitoring academic progress; ensuring NCAA compliance; assisting with budget management; and promoting the program to donors, media, and the community.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or two (2) or more years of coaching experience. NCAA Division I experience and a successful Division I recruiting record preferred. NCAA Coaches Certification and 15-passenger van driving certification required upon hire.
Compensation: $3,144–$3,166/month anticipated. Full-time equivalent salary range $6,288–$7,658/month per CSU Unit 3 schedule.
