After placing 2nd in the 50 free on night 1, Jack Alexy had a monster night 2 in Carmel. He started by placing 6th in the 50 back, then less than an hour later roared to a dominant victory in the 100 free, touching in 45.32, over half a second ahead of the field. After winning silver in the 100 free and bronze in the 50 this summer in LCM at the World Champs, Alexy seems to be carrying his success into the SCM pool.
HOW TO WATCH THE WORLD AQUATICS WORLD CUP
A comprehensive look at television and streaming options for the meet can be found here.
U.S. viewers can watch both prelims and finals on the USA Swimming Network and Peacock, Canadians can stream every session on CBC, and the source for the majority of European nations will be the Eurovision Sport platform.
The competition will also be streamed live and on-demand with the World Aquatics Recast channel. A three-day pass requires 590 credits, which costs $8.26 USD.

Hello, I’m a swimming fan from South Korea who enjoys Swimsam. Sorry to leave a comment that isn’t related to this article, but I’d like to go see the 15th National Games of china swimming event in November, so if anyone knows how to pay online and get tickets, could I get some help?
The US will have no more excuses. 2024 small pool, 2025 food poisoning rhinovirus. This time Irvine is home turf. There better be 10 WRs
There’s always more excuses. Whether they run out of ‘other people’ to blame is a different story.
If Alexy keeps getting faster every year he has a great shot at 100m Gold in LA. I don’t think sub 46 LCM is out of reach eventually.
We’ve now seen sub-46 on a relay. Seems more doable by the year.
idk man, 46 high was p tough for everyone for what, a decade?
I think 46.4 definitely opened up those possibilities, but even chipping a tenth off that is gonna be tough for anybody for awhile imo.
Alexy has the height going for him so the 50M pool is shorter.
That’s the kind of thing that I’d love it if Alexy had it privately tapped on the wall above his bed or something but I wouldn’t peg him ss the guy to bust that open. Honestly we may be getting ahead of ourselves generally, it’s only Pan over the water plus Dressel’s start and turn, a very trivial combination
45.9 means ur either a 20.8 or better, or 21.3 with a 1:43 low at the slowest. 21.8 / 24.1 for an Alexy type swimmer… unless ur a Hobson type who’s really only world class in 1 event but still… thinking Popovici is the only guy with 45.9 capabilities once he gets to the 21.3 range in the 50 and is still going 1:42+ at the same time. 22.2 / 23.7?? Sounds insane. Probably not doable from this generation.
