Robyn Clevenger of the Southeastern Swim Club in Fishers, IN, has verbally committed to the Auburn University Tigers class of 2020. The senior at Hamilton Southeastern High School was a 3rd place finisher in the 50-yard free (23.22) at the 2014-15 Indiana Girls State Championships. She has qualified for the Winter Junior Championships in her 3 best events, 100-yard fly, 50-yard free and 100-yard free.

Clevenger’s best times are:

  • 50-yard free: 23.00
  • 100-yard free: 50.04
  • 200-yard free: 1:54.45
  • 100-yard fly: 54.82
  • 200-yard IM: 2:05.19
  • 100-yard back: 59.71

“The moment I stepped in Auburn’s campus I knew it was the school for me. I felt like part of the family from the very beginning.” – Clevenger

Clevenger’s personal best in the 100-yard fly, 50-yard free and 100-yard free would have made an impact on the Auburn swim team last season, placing her 5th in all 3 events on the Tigers women’s swimming top-times for the 2014-15 season. Additionally, her best 100-yard free would have placed her 8th in the C-final at the SEC Championships last spring. She will be a strong fit in the Auburn women’s team, the sprint group has shown good results last season, sending six in those event disciplines to the NCAA championships last spring.

Next fall, Clevenger will join new teammates backstroke/IM’er Annie Boonefreestyle/backstroker Caroline Schirmersprinter Sierra Jett and 5-time national age group record holder Jessica Merritt.
