Indiana State Champion Mallory Jackson Commits to Wisconsin

Fitter and Faster Swim Clinics is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Mallory Jackson of the Fort Wayne Swim Team and Carroll High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana has verbally committed to the University of Wisconsin.

Jackson’s commitment came a few days after winning her first Indiana High School State Championship last week, topping the 100 yard backstroke in 54.32: a new personal best for her.

Other Lifetime Bests:

  • 50 free – 23.99
  • 100 free – 51.14
  • 200 free – 1:50.08
  • 500 free – 5:02.09
  • 100 back – 54.32
  • 200 back – 1:57.28
  • 200 IM – 2:00.16
  • 400 IM – 4:24.85

In long course, she’s a Summer Juniors Qualifier in the 100 back thanks to a best of 1:04.15.

She’s the first girls’ state champion in Carroll High School history, and she’ll join a team that currently has the best women’s backstroker in the NCAA: Beata Nelson. Jackson would rank 4th on the Wisconsin team in both the 100 back and 200 back this season.

She’s the 3rd public verbal commitment for the Wisconsin women in the class of 2020 so far, joining backstroker/butterflier Kaylyn Schoof and all-around talent Cal Dunn.
