The Golden Gophers set a number of in-season and lifetime bests on the first day of the inaugural Minnesota Invite. The meet continues through

set a new career in-season best with a 23.02 in the 50 freestyle, beating teammates Danielle Nack (23.27) and Zoe Avestruz (23.89). Allison Schumacher
won the 200 individual medley in 2:04.63. She finished ahead of Tevyn Waddell (2:05.63 unattached) and Madison Preiss (2:06.71). Rina Krupsky
finished second in the 500 free in a personal-record 4:50.89. Chantal Nack
, Danielle Nack , Zoe Avestruz and Allison Schumacher won the 200 free relay in 1:33.64. Waddell, Bullinger, Abigail Raatz and Raatz captured the 400 medley relay win in 3:46.04. Danielle Nack
came out ahead of teammate Nick Plachinski in a close 500 free race. Plachinski’s 4:29.66 edged out Logan Redondo’s 4:29.77. Both times were career in-season bests. Logan Redondo
won the 50 free in 20.07. Bowe Becker was second in an in-season best 20.52. Hunter Doerr
turned in a career in-season best of 1:49.87 to finish second in the 200 individual medley. Brian Poon was next in 1:50.39, also an in-season best. John Bushman
, Doerr and Paul Fair won the 200 free relay in 1:20.67. Turner, Daryl Turner , Fair and Becker won the 400 medley relay in 3:17.69. Eric Sande
