The team of Minna Abraham, Petra Senanszky, Panna Ugrai, and Nikolett Padar touched in a 3:36.34. That broke the group’s own Hungarian record of a 3:36.77 that they swam last summer at the 2024 European Championships.

The group has now broken the record twice in just 13 months. Prior to 2024, the Hungarian record had not been touched in 15 years as the previous record stood at a 3:37.64 from 2009 Worlds. The 2009 record included Katinka Hosszu.

Hungary was the 8th seed entering the women’s 4×100 free relay so they matched their seed while they are the #6 seed in the women’s 4×200 free relay later this week.
