Distance Freestyler Lukas Gately Sends Verbal Commitment to Denison

Lukas Gately from Berthoud, Colorado has opted to swim for Division III’s Denison University next fall. Gately attends Thompson Valley High School in Loveland, and swims year-round for Loveland Swim Club.

“Denison offers unique and excellent opportunities both academically and in the pool. With a fantastic coaching staff and an incredibly devoted team atmosphere, I felt that the school would be a perfect fit for me. I’m greatly looking forward to supplementing my academic and athletic abilities in my next four years here. Go Big Red!”

Gately, whose older brother, Liam Gately, is a freshman at Northwestern University this season, specializes in distance freestyle and IM.
