Bradley Toland from the Golden West Swim Club in Huntington Beach, CA, will transfer to the Utah Utes next fall. The sophomore at the Golden West College was a 3 time finalist at the 2015 California Community College Athletic Association Championships, winning the 100-yard fly in a new school record of 48.59, placing 5th in the 100-yard free (46.00) and 6th in the 50-yard free (21.27).

Toland’s best times are:

  • 100-yard fly – 48.59
  • 100-yard free – 45.68
  • 50-yard free – 21.13

“I chose Utah because they emphasize succeeding not just in the pool, but also in the classroom. The coaching staff and and team made me feel right at home; Go Utes!” -Toland

Toland’s best time in the 100-yard fly would place him 7th on the Utes all-time top-ten performance list and would have also given him a 4th place finish in the C-final of the 2015 Pac-12 championships. From his freshman year he has dropped a second in the 100-yard fly, if this progression continues, he will definitely make an impact for the Utes over the next two years.

Fall 2016, Toland will join breaststroke/freestyler Brody Lewis and freestyle/backstroker Adam Shelton in Utah.
