Calvin Groenewold, a current high school senior from Lombard, Illinois, has committed to swim for Division I Bryant University. Groenewold will graduate from Timothy Christian High School in spring 2020 and join the Bulldogs’ class of 2024.
Groenewold is a current swimmer for FMC Aquatic. Earlier this year at the Illinois Swimming Senior Championships, Groenewold placed 6th in the 200 breaststroke. He also placed 3rd in the 100 breaststroke (58.52) and 5th in the 200 IM (1:57.64) at the 2020 IHSA Boys Sectional Championships.

At the 2020 MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships with the Bulldogs, Groenewold would have placed 16th in both the 100 breaststroke (57.88) and 200 breaststroke (2:07.07). Groenewold’s future teammate Fu Kang Wong placed 1st in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke with the times of 53.40 and 1:57.52.

- 400 IM – 4:12.55
This year at the MAAC Championships, the Bulldogs placed 3rd as a team.
Groenewold will begin his swimming career at Bryant University fall 2020.
