Breast/IMer Caroline Strolic Sends Verbal Commitment To Maine

Phoenix Swim Club’s Caroline Strolic will be moving to the Northeast next season after she graduates from Notre Dame Prep School. Strolic will be making the move from Arizona to the University of Maine, as she’s just given her verbal commitment to join the Black Bears next fall.

Last season, Strolic qualified to swim the 100 breast and 200 IM at the 2015 Arizona Division 2 High School State Championships. There, she earned a silver medal in the 200 IM after clocking a personal best 2:09.97 to crack the 2:10 barrier for the first time. She also finished 7th in the 100 breast at that meet.

Strolic’s Top Times:

  • 100 breast- 1:08.05
  • 200 breast- 2:26.10
  • 200 IM- 2:09.97
  • 400 IM- 4:41.35
  • 50 free- 25.81
  • 100 back- 1:00.58

Strolic should have an immediate impact for the Black Bears at the America East Conference Championships. Her personal best times of 1:08.05 in the 100 breast and 2:26.10 in the 200 breast are already fast enough to have scored in the B-final at the 2016 conference meet. She also would’ve landed in the B-final of the 200 IM and 400 IM last season.

At Maine, Strolic will team up with Emma Blackdeer, who placed 7th in both breaststroke races at conference as a freshman last season.
