BOSTON – Behind a dominating all-around performance, the Boston University men’s swimming & diving team coasted past Colgate, 190-69, on Senior Day Saturday at Competition Pool.
Taking its home pool for the final time of the regular season, BU won the first 13 events on the night, while eight different Terriers recording a first-place individual victory. Seniors Tommy Hagerty and Darren Ty each picked up a pair of wins on the night, as Hagerty won the 200 and 500 free, while Ty earned the top spot in the 100 and 200 breast.
BU will close out the regular season with a pair of dual meets on the road, first starting at Boston College on Saturday, Jan. 25.

BOSTON – Led by an all-around effort, the Boston University women’s swimming & diving team took down Colgate on Senior Day, 183-87, Saturday at Competition Pool.
Ten different Terriers tabbed a first-place individual victory, while BU won the first 13 events on the night. Seniors Carly Soares and Meghan Egan each won an individual event in their final night at Competition Pool. In addition to guiding the 200 medley relay team to a victory to open the meet, Soares won the 100 breast, while Egan touched the wall first in the 200 breast.
BU will close out the regular season with a pair of dual meets on the road, first starting at Boston College on Saturday, Jan. 25.

The Colgate men returned to the pool for the first time since Dec. 7 for a conference meet at Boston University. Though the Patriot League foes proved to be too much to handle on the short turnaround just getting back to the east coast, Saturday wasn’t without a few highlights for the maroon and white.
Segundo Rienhardt led the way for Colgate in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 49.97.
Noah Zeigler and Jack Van Meter took the top spots in the 100 Yard Butterfly. Andrew Kelemen and Ehran Hodes did the same in the 400 Yard Individual Medley.
VanMeter and Rienhardt along with Camden Koch and Justin Song placed first in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
In the end, Boston University won the meet by a score of 190-69.

Colgate is back in action on Sunday at Holy Cross for another conference meet.
On a quick turnaround, Colgate returned to Patriot League action shortly after coming back from a busy training trip to Coronado, Calif. Though a victory wasn’t in the cards on Saturday, several women found individual success to build on in the remaining league meets.
In the 100 Yard Butterfly, Colgate took the top four spots with Lindsay Criqui taking first. A team of Criqui, Lauren deTorres, Lucy Bischof, and Madison Sullivan won the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Carolyn Silverman led the way for the Raiders in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:02.07.
Rounding out the results, Caroline LaPlante and Sydney Dutton placed second and fourth respectively in the Three Meter Dive.
