The new head coach of Arizona State University, Bob Bowman could not be more excited to get the 2015-2016 collegiate season started. In the interview done just before kick off of the ASU vs. New Mexico football game last night, he said the potential of the university as well as athletic program was the main reason for drawing him to the dessert. The vision of the school’s president and athletic director was something that Bowman really wanted to be a part of.

Bowman, a three-time member of the USA Olympic Swim Team coaching staff, was recently named team USA head coach of the 2016 Olympics. Furthermore, he has  been named the 2016 USA Olympic coach, which has already brought increased attention to the university in the form of an increase in local news coverage, and larger-audience television interviews like the one above.

Bowman is well known for his expertise in coaching Olympian Michael Phelps, who has also moved to Arizona to stay under his wing. Coach Bowman and Phelps both love the atmosphere and the pool and are happy with their transition to Arizona.
