Check out the video above for some thoughts from Head Coach Kelly Kremer on how Day 2 went for the Minnesota Gophers at the 2016 Big Ten Men’s Championships.

Jakub Maly finished 6th in the 200 IM, his time of 1:44.53 earning him a new Minnesota program record. Day two also saw Minnesota put up freshman Bowen Becker in the 50 free A final, where he finished 7th.

The Gophers sat 8th after Wednesday night’s finals, but with their showing last night, they rocketed all the way up to 4th place. Tonight’s finals will see Maly with the 2nd seed in the 400 IM, and Daryl Turner making A finals in both the 100 fly and 100 back.
