Massachusetts prospect Ania Axas will be moving to the Midwest as she has committed to D-III Kenyon College (OH) of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). Axas is currently a senior at Wilbraham & Monson Academy and swims club for Mei’s Typhoons Swim Club of the New England Swimming LSC. After enrolling, she will be the lone swimmer on the women’s roster from the Bay State.
Axas brings tremendous versatility to Kenyon College with a strong pairing of freestyle and butterfly. In 2018, she earned her first futures cuts in the 100- and 200-butterfly during long-course season. She also earned a Futures cut in the 200 meter IM. Using her personal bests in short-course, she would have earned a spot in the finals of the NCAC Championships in all three events.

In December, Axas had major success at the 2018 New England Short-Course Senior Championships. She earned top eight finishes in both the 100- & 200 butterfly and 200 IM events getting lifetime bests.
Kenyon won the NCAC Conference Championship in February and went on to finish 2nd at NCAAs, finishing just 9 points behind Emory.
