Austin Swim Club’s Norah Carr Commits to NAIA’s Loyola (New Orleans)

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Austin Swim Club’s Norah Carr has announced her verbal commitment to NAIA program Loyola University (New Orleans) for this fall.

“I am beyond excited to finally announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic careers at Loyola University New Orleans! Thank you to all of my family, coaches, and teammates who have supported me through the years! I am so excited for these next four years!! #gowolfpack”

  • 50 free – 25.22
  • 100 free – 56.14
  • 200 free – 1:59.77
  • 500 free – 5:17.13
  • 100 back – 1:01.41
  • 200 back – 2:12.97

Carr is primarily a freestyler and backstroker. At the 2020 South Texas Age Group Championships (STAGS), Carr made finals in the 500 free, finishing 16th overall.

Loyola competes in the Mid-South Conference, where they finished third overall at the 2020 meet. At that meet, Carr would’ve scored in A-finals of the 500 free, 200 free, 100 back and 200 back, so she should be an immediate contributor to the program starting this fall.

In all four of those top events, Carr would’ve been just off of scoring speed at the 2020 NAIA Championships.
