Arizona Welcomes Kailey Kennedy (Texas A&M), Griff Orloff (Wyoming) For 2026

Arizona will have two transfers join the team this fall. Griff Orloff will join the men’s program after spending time at Wyoming while Kailey Kennedy will join the women’s team after spending time at Texas A&M.

Kennedy arrives after just finishing her sophomore season at Texas A&M. She finished her season at the 2026 SEC Championships where she was 34th in the 50 free (22.89), 32nd in the 100 fly (53.27), and 69th in the 100 free (51.82).

The Arizona women finished 2nd at the 2026 Big 12 Championships, only behind Arizona State. Julia Wozniak was 2nd in the 50 free with a 21.93 while Maryam Sheikhalizadehkhanghah led the way in the 100 fly with a 52.50 for 3rd.

Kennedy’s best times of a 22.43 50 free and a 52.91 100 fly would have both made the Big 12 ‘A’ final as her 100 fly would have been 4th and her 50 free would have been 6th.

Orloff arrives after spending the last two seasons at Wyoming, where he transferred after spending his freshman season at Kentucky. This will be his second transfer.

Orloff finished the 2025-2026 season at the 2026 MPSF Championships. There he was 3rd in the 200 breast in a lifetime best 1:56.39 as well as 4th in the 100 breast in another lifetime best with a 53.45.

The Arizona men finished 2nd at the 2026 Big 12 Championships, also only behind Arizona State. Tanner Wilson led the team in both breaststroke events as he was 4th in the 100 breast (52.51) and 17th in the 200 breast (1:55.65). Orloff’s best times would have made the Big 12 ‘A’ final in the 200 breast and the ‘B’ final of the 100 breast.
