The NYU women swam to a new Division III record in the 200 free relay, touching in a 1:29.38. That broke the previous record of a 1:30.00 set by MIT a year ago.

The biggest difference tonight was Kaley McIntyre‘s 21.81 anchor leg. McIntyre is the Division III record holder in the individual 50 free as that record sits at a 22.15. She won the individual event on Wednesday with a 22.45. Also having a strong split tonight was Maeve O’Donnell with a 22.04 on the 2nd leg. O’Donnell was 5th in a 23.03 in the individual event.
NYU’s win in the event marked their first ever win in the 200 free relay. They also have never won the D3 title in the 400 free relay but could change that on Saturday night as they are the top seed.
