The biggest difference was the front half of the race as she was out in a 54.67 at the 100 mark compared to a 55.35 a year ago. She was a bit off her record pace on the final 50 but her strong front half of the race was able to put her far enough ahead.
The senior has had a huge week for West Florida as she also broke her own D2 record in the 100 backstroke, first in the 400 medley relay and then in last night’s final of the individual event. She also helped the team’s 400 medley relay to a new Division II record as well.
