OXFORD, Ohio — The Miami University swimming and diving team hosted Xavier and Kenyon for Senior Day. The final home meet of the season took place in Oxford on Saturday, Jan. 24. The Women defeated Xavier 206.5-82.5. They also defeated Kenyon 175-121. The men took down Xavier 212-77. They also defeated Kenyon 193-106.

How it Happened:

  • The meet began with the women’s 400-yard medley relay. The women’s A team finished first. Chrisna BezuidenhoutNatalie GilsonKaylin Herbet and Julia Waechter turned in a combined time of 3:40.70.
  • The men’s 400-yard medley relay followed where the men’s A team finished first. Jensen NelsonBrady MillerAllen Cotton and Ian Rodrigues-Kmiliauskis posted a combined time of 3:14.12. The men’s B team finished in second. Kevin DonaldsonDrew WatsonOwen Hoban and Duncan Salmen had a combined time of 3:16.58.
  • The women’s 1000-yard freestyle followed, where Casey Stephens finished in first-place, posting a time of 10:08.39.
  • Hendrik Bechtel finished first in the men’s 1000-yard freestyle, earning a time of 9:27.25.
  • The women’s 200-yard freestyle was next. Herbet finished second, turning in a time of 1:50.10. Gracie Gregory was third, turning in a time of 1:51.60
  • After that was the men’s 200-yard freestyle where Rodrigues-Kmiliauskis finished first with a time of 1:38.46.
  • Bezuidenhout finished first in the women’s 100-yard backstroke, posting a time of 54.65. Gilson was third with a time of 56.22.
  • The men’s 100-yard backstroke followed. Jett Dooley finished first, turning in a time of 49.82
  • The women’s 100-yard breaststroke was next where Madison Watschke finished first with a time of 1:03.75.
  • After that was the men’s 100-yard breaststroke. Ben Eichberg finished first, clocking a time of 55.09. Clark Pabst finished in third, earning a time of 56.98.
  • Next up was the women’s 200-yard butterfly where Ella Ziegert finished third, earning a time of 2:04.70.
  • Luke Pugh finished in second-place in the men’s 200-yard butterfly, turning in a time of 1:49.31.
  • The women’s 50-yard freestyle was after that where Waechter finished in second, recording a time of 23.80. Halliday finished third with a time of 23.38.
  • The men’s 50-yard freestyle followed where Nelson finished second, posting a time of 20.69. Cotton was third with a time of 20.76.
  • After that was the women’s 100-yard freestyle, where Herbet was first, turning in a time of 50.60. Ziegert finished third clocking a time of 51.63.
  • The men’s 100-yard freestyle was next. Owen finished in second-place with a time of 45.59.
  • Piper Prince finished in first-place in the women’s 200-yard backstroke, recording a time of 2:00.99. Madison Camden was third with a time of 2:01.57.
  • Hoban finished first in the men’s 200-yard backstroke, posting a time of 1:46.72. Watson finished second, turning in a time of 1:48.29.
  • The women’s 200-yard breaststroke followed. Watschke earned a time of 2:25.75, which was good for second-place.
  • The men’s 200-yard breaststroke was next. Pablo Silva finished first with a time of 2:01.63. Liam Quigley was third, clocking a time of 2:03.80.
  • The women’s 500-yard freestyle followed. Casey Stephens finished third, recording a time of 5:03.68.
  • Elijah Rolfsen finished first in the men’s 500-yard freestyle, earning a time of 4:26.79. Bryce Menchhofer was second with a time of 4:34.87.
  • The women’s 100-yard butterfly followed, where Gilson finished first with a time of 54.66. Halliday was second, posting a time of 56.48.
  • Next was the men’s 100-yard butterfly. Salmen finished in first-place, clocking a time of 47.03.
  • Gregory came in first in the women’s 400-yard IM, recording a time of 4:23.42. Rebekah Gurley finished in second-place, earning a time of 4:26.11.
  • Up next was the men’s 400-yard IM. Michal Piela finished first, turning in a time of 3:52.62. Cotton finished second, earning a time of 3:56.83.
  • The women’s 200-yard freestyle relay was next. The women’s A team finished second. Camden, Ziegert, Gilson and Halliday posted a combined time of 1:33.65.
  • Swimming events concluded with the men’s 200-yard freestyle relay. The men’s A team finished first. Hoban, Salmen, Rodrigues-Kmiliauskis and Owen Fowler turned in a combined time of 1:20.09.
  • For diving events, Sydney Rice finished first in the women’s 1M dive with a score of 289.58. Mia Meinhardt was second with a score of 279.46. Gretchen Osmun finished third, turning in a score of 258.53.
  • Paul Hong was first in the men’s 1M dive, turning in a score of 344.33. Noam Kulbak finished in second-place with a score of 298.50.
  • Meinhardt was first in the women’s 3M dive, earning a score of 295.20. Rice finished in second-place, posting a score of 281.25. Nora Kowalski was third with a score of 274.88.
  • Paul Hong finished in first-place in the men’s 3M dive with a score of 372.08. Rowen Bishop was second, earning a score of 326.78.

UP NEXT: The Miami University women’s swimming and diving team hits the road to wrap up the regular season. They will face off with Buffalo on Saturday, Jan. 31. Events will start at 11 a.m.

OXFORD, Ohio – Xavier swimming traveled to Oxford, Ohio, to face Miami (Ohio) on Saturday afternoon to take on the host RedHawks and Kenyon.

Xavier will not compete in the Butler Invite on Sunday, Jan. 25, after the event was postponed due to weather. The Musketeers will next be in action at the 2026 BIG EAST Championships, set to run February 18-21, at FAST in Ocala, Fla.

WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Emma TenhundfeldJordyn LiblerNorah Simich and Olivia Oyster set a time of 3:41.47 in the 400 medley relay to place second.
  • Teegan Madara led Xavier in the 1000 free with a time of 10:29.99.
  • Sydney Smith’s time of 1:57.41 led the Musketeers in the 200 free. She also posted the top time by a Musketeer in the 500 free, finishing in 5:14.20.
  • Emma Tenhundfeld placed second in the 200 back, finishing in a time of 2:01.01. Her time of 56.55 in the 100 back also led the Musketeers.
  • Jordyn Libler placed second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.68.
  • Norah Simich placed first in the 200 fly with a time of 2:00.64. She also led the Musketeers in the 100 free with a time of 52.68.
  • Olivia Oyster won the 50 free with a time of 23.08.
  • Parker Mandacina placed third in the 200 breast, finishing in 2:21.52.
  • Julia Sweetman’s time of 57.83 in the 100 fly led the Musketeers.
  • Ryon Argo led the Musketeers in the 400 IM with a time of 4:32.73.
  • Abbey FishJordyn LiblerNorah Simich and Olivia Oyster set a time of 1:34.47 in the 200 free relay, placing third.
  • The Musketeers fell to Miami, 260.5-82.5, and Kenyon,192-95.

OXFORD, Ohio — Competing in a double-dual meet with a pair of NCAA Division I opponents on Saturday, the Kenyon College women’s swimming and diving team held their own. The Owls lost to host Miami University, 175-121, but knocked off Xavier University, 182-106.

The Owls, now with a 7-6 dual meet record, had four individual event wins and one relay win. The individual event wins came from senior Molly Haag and sophomore Kelsey Van Eldik.

Haag rang up a 200-yard freestyle time of 1:49.22, which not only was good enough to win the event, it also went down as the third fastest time in NCAA Division III this season. Later in the meet, Haag tacked on another victory in the 500-yard freestyle. She clocked in at 4:53.07, which was just ahead of teammate Nora Lee Brown, who took the runner-up spot in 4:59.52.


Van Eldik accounted for Kenyon’s other two individual event wins by sweeping the breaststroke races. She won the 100-yard version in 1:01.97 and then took the 200 in a time of 2:15.20.


Kenyon’s win in relay competition occurred in the meet-closing 200-yard freestyle relay. The Owls foursome of Gwen EisenbeisKate BoganJulia Mascarenhas, and Lisa Torrecillas-Jouault worked together to post a winning time of 1:33.10.


In addition to that relay result, Eisenbeis recorded a pair of top-three finishes on her own. She placed second in the 100-yard backstroke, touching in 54.78, and then placed third in the 100-yard butterfly, completing that race in 56.71.


Brown, who had that second-place showing in the 500-yard freestyle, added a second-place time of 10:08.64 in the 1,000-yard freestyle. Her mark was the fourth fastest in NCAA Division III this season.


Other top-three finishes for the Owls came from Amelia StevensonAshlyn Widmer, and Torrecillas-Jouault. Stevenson was second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.69), Torrecillas-Jouault was second in the 100-yard freestyle (51.47), and Widmer was third in the 400-yard individual medley (4:29.58).


In diving, Kenyon’s top finisher was Lucy Cassell-Kelley. She placed fifth on the one-meter board and placed sixth on the three-meter board.


Up next for the Kenyon team is the annual North Coast Athletic Conference Championship, a four-day meet that begins February 11 at Denison University.

OXFORD, Ohio – The Kenyon College men’s swimming and diving team traveled to Miami University (Ohio) on Saturday for a tri-meet against the host RedHawks and Xavier University. The Owls fell to Miami by a score of 190-106 but responded with a strong performance against Xavier, defeating the Musketeers 182-106 to close the day.

Kenyon opened the meet with a solid showing in the 400-yard medley relay, as the Owls’ quartet of Kristof SzappanosNoel TumbaszRoman Savage, and Djordje Dragojlovic placed third with a time of 3:16.90, earning a NCAA “B” Cut. The Owls continued to pick up points early in the distance events, led by freshman Matthew Amodio, who finished third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 9:34.20. Teammates Evan Harrison (9:43.41) and Conner Verbanas (9:43.66) also added scoring finishes in the event.

In the sprint freestyle events, Dragojlovic led the way for Kenyon, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 20.19 and later claiming first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 44.35. Sophomore Spencer Stluka added a fifth-place finish in the 100 freestyle, while teammate Pedro Mello followed close behind to bolster the Owls’ point total. Kenyon’s depth was also on display in the 200-yard freestyle, where senior Ethan Manske finished second in 1:40.37 and Teo Jaworski placed third in 1:40.64, both earning NCAA “A” cuts.

The Owls found continued success in the breaststroke events, as Tumbasz recorded a pair of runner-up finishes. He touched second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 55.85 before returning later in the meet to place second again in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:02.19. Walker Bailey (2:08.41) and Owen Gingras (2:08.51) added additional points for Kenyon, coming in at fourth and fifth.

Kenyon’s butterfly group also turned in solid performances throughout the meet. Savage placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a 48.95, while first-year Thomson Parlette led the Owls in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing third in 1:52.29. Manske capped off a strong day by taking third in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 3:57.52, earning him a NCAA “B” cut.

In the backstroke events, Szappanos placed third in both the 100-yard backstroke (50.78) and the 200-yard backstroke (1:51.57), providing consistency for the Owls across the middle portion of the meet. Kenyon closed the swimming portion of the day with a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Dragojlovic, Stluka, Neil Abrahamson, and Peter Dunson combined for a time of 1:22.11.

On the boards, first-year Chase Smith led Kenyon in the diving events, scoring 252.53 on the one-meter board and 319.20 on three-meter. Sophomore James Lackner scored a 236.63 on the one-meter board and a 236.63 on the three-meter.

With the regular season now complete, the Owls will turn their focus toward postseason competition. Kenyon will have time to rest and prepare before pursuing its 27th conference championship at the NCAC Championships, scheduled for February 11–14, with Denison University set to host.
