TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams made the drive to Washington D.C. for a dual meet against Howard. A competitive meet saw the Tigers complete their third dual meet sweep of the season as both the Towson men’s and women’s teams defeated the Bison.

How it Happened: Women
- Shannon Parrau won the 1 meter dive by over 30 points scoring 268.80.
- Dylan Gustaff took first place in the 1000 free with a time of 10:37.47.
- Riley Willett touched the wall first in the 50 breast with a time of 30.40.
- Addie Scott got the win in the 50 free posting a time of 24.32.
- Scott made it two in a row winning the 100 free with a time of 56.71.
- Kaitlyn Besner swam 5:10.89 to win the 500 free.
- Willett got her second win of the day taking the 50 fly with a time of 25.84.
- Gustaff became the third Tiger to win multiple events on the day when she won the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.66.
How it Happened: Men
- Aidan Clark was the only diver to break 300 as he scored 312.00 to win the 1 meter dive.
- Sean Colson, Jed Garner, Benjamin Eischeid, and Daniel McLaughlin started off the swimming events with a win in the 200 medley with a time of 1:31.56.
- Stephen McDonald finished first in the 1000 free with a time of 9:56.98.
- Colson won the 200 free swimming a time of 1:44.11.
- McLaughlin touched first in the 50 free posting a time of 21.27.
- Eischeid swam a time of 47.51 to win the 100 free.
- Harry Herrera got the win in the 100 breast with a time of 57.91.
- Christian Davidson finished first in the 500 free with a time of 4:47.63.
- Anthony Mortellite won the 200 IM with a time of 1:56.23.
- Isak Brkanovic, McDonald, Eischeid, and McLaughlin posted a time of 1:45.45 to cap off the day with a win in the 200 free relay.

WASHINGTON — Howard University women’s swimming & diving posted multiple top finishes across relay and individual events in a competitive 149-132 loss to Towson in Burr Natatorium Wednesday afternoon.
Howard opened the meet with a strong showing in the 200-yard medley relay, as the Bison quartet of Chanice Posada (Houston, Texas), Rhanishka Gibbs (Nassau, Bahamas), Alyssa Napier (Wilmington, Del.) and Zuilda Nwaeze (Columbia, Md.) touched in 1:44.78, setting a strong tone for the day.
In individual events, Nwaeze led the way in the 200-yard freestyle, earning her first individual top finish of the day with a time of 1:54.87. Posada continued the Bison momentum in the following event, winning the 50-yard backstroke in 26.16 seconds, while teammate Myeisha Sharrieff (Bermuda) followed closely to claim the runner-up spot.
Samyra Benoit (Santa Clarita, Calif.) added another highlight for Howard with a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly (58.13). Standout freshman Napier took second in the event with a time of 58.33.
Nwaeze earned her second top finish of the day, taking first in the 100-yard freestyle (51.68).
Rookies Brooke Whitt (Chicago, Ill.) and Gibbs put on one of the more exciting performances of the afternoon, finishing first and second in the 100-yard breaststroke with times of 1:07.75 and 1:08.03, respectively.
In a down-to-the-wire race, the Tigers’ and Bison’s best went stroke-for-stroke in the 50-yard butterfly, with Howard’s Posada taking second in 25.97, just 0.13 seconds shy of first place.
Howard closed the meet with momentum in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as the team of Gabrielle Vickles (El Dorado, Trinidad & Tobago), Jasmine Morgan (Chicago, Ill.), Napier and Nwaeze posted a time of 1:35.82, winning the final event of the day.
The Bison return to action Friday, January 16, at 2 P.M. when they travel to Lexington, Va., to face the VMI Keydets.
WASHINGTON — Howard University men’s swimming & diving delivered several top finishes and season-best performances in a 166-115 loss to Towson in Burr Natatorium Wednesday afternoon.
Howard opened the afternoon with early points when sophomore diver Zion Wilson (San Antonio, Texas) placed third in the 1-meter dive.
The Bison followed with a strong showing in the 50-yard backstroke, led by Kaleb James (Durham, N.C.), who captured the event in 23.79, while Adam Diaz (Manhattan, N.Y.) followed closely at 24.56, giving Howard a one-two finish.
In the 1,000-yard freestyle, freshman Solomon Goins (Dallas, Texas) turned in one of the top swims of the meet, finishing third overall while setting a new season best of 10:06.51, improving on his previous mark of 10:09.14.
Howard continued to shine in the 50-yard breaststroke, as Ayrton Moncur (Nassau, Bahamas) recorded a season-best 26.41, while Mark Brown (Greensboro, N.C.) also posted a season-best swim, touching in 26.75.
Mason Green (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) delivered a standout performance in the 100-yard butterfly, clocking a new season best of 48.07, improving on his previous CSCAA B-cut time of 48.12 while besting the field by more than four seconds. Green later captured the 50-yard butterfly title with a time of 22.34.
Freshman James completed a sweep of the backstroke events, taking first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 52.15.
Howard closed the meet with a strong showing in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as the quartet of Green, Jalen Stewart (New Castle, Del.), Daren Rodgers (Chicago, Ill.) and James posted a time of 1:24.93, earning a second-place finish to cap the afternoon.
The Bison return to action Friday, January 16th at 2 p.m., when they travel to Lexington, Va. to face the VMI Keydets.
