USA Swimming has announced part of its domestic schedule for the 2026 calendar year. Six meets have been announced with dates and locations while more events will be announced later this year.
2026 Schedule:
| DATES | EVENT | LOCATION |
|---|---|---|
| January 14–17 | TYR Pro Swim Series | Austin, Texas (Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center) |
| March 4–7 | TYR Pro Swim Series | Westmont, Ill. (FMC Natatorium at Ty Warner Park) |
| April 2–4 | Open Water National and Junior National Championships | Sarasota, Fla. |
| May 20–23 | TYR Pro Swim Series | Sacramento, Calif. (North Natomas Aquatics Complex) |
| June 17–20 | TYR Pro Swim Series | Indianapolis, Ind. (IU Natatorium at IU Indianapolis) |
| July 28–Aug 1 | Toyota National Championships | Irvine, Calif. (Woollett Junior Aquatic Center) |
After no January Pro Series stop in 2025, the year will kick off in Austin, Texas with the first of four Pro Series stops. Austin is notably home to the US Open as well as Winter Juniors-West this upcoming December.
The Series will then make a stop in Westmont, Illinois in March. This follows this past year as Westmont was home to a stop during the first weekend of March as well.
Last year as mentioned previously, the month of January did not feature a Pro Series. This year, April is a month that was home to a Pro Series stop this past year but will be a gap this upcoming year. Sacramento was the host for April 2025 and will instead be home to the stop in May 2026.
Indianapolis hosted US Nationals this past June and will be home to the final Pro Series stop before the National Championships take place in Irvine at the end of July and beginning of August. Irvine was home to Summer Junior Nationals and the Pro Championships this year.
US Nationals in Irvine will not serve as a selection meet for the 2026 Pan Pac Championships. Pan Pacs are scheduled to take place in Irvine from August 12-15 but will have a US team selected from results in summer 2025.
Sites for Futures, Summer Junior Nationals, the US Open, and Winter Junior Nationals will be announced later this calendar year.

I understand because of funding counts: the organization has to budget if it has to survive in a Trump’s regime and the MEGANUTS of the Republicans
And unfortunately, we have to go that way: it’s there only option for 4 years of chaos and mayhem to beat all odds, and it’s not even in their favor..
For example, A World Championships supposed to be in Washington DC USA but the Trump regime attacked it and the World Championship relocated to CANADA secretly..
The Olympics for LA28 is under attack by the Trump regime: Trump signed an Executive Order against it…
So I understand!!!
They need to resurrect the January stop. March is too long to wait!
Come on USAS. Summer juniors used to be listed as Irvine. Now it’s tbd. What gives?
Sacramento was such a mess and Ft Lauderdale was a huge success though. That’s a bummer
The Ft Lauderdale pool is much better than the old and slow Sacramento pool. A bummer they are both outside though.
Sacramento was so separately attended, and would have seemed even worse without the Aussie contingent. Westmont wasn’t much better attended, but I think that’s because of the placement relative to the college season, hard to start these meets any later than that. Ft. Lauderdale has been great the last 2 times the meet has been there and swimmers love the location.
Would love to see a meet back at Nassau County Aquatic Center on Long Island, at least just for variety!
No Fort Lauderdale is a bummer.
Would imagine selection for jr pan pacs will be a nationals?
Any rumors where juniors will be?
I’m certain I read that Nationals will be the selection meet for Junior Pan Pacs but I can’t prove that to myself. I’m sure USA Swimming will clarify when they announce the National Junior Team in September.
Toyota nationals ends at Aug 1st, followed by summer JNAT, two weeks after is junior Pan Pac, those dates seems too close to juniors
Isn’t 2 weeks(between nationals and jr pan pacs)a quick turn around? I’m thinking it will be based on results from this year similar to senior Pan Pacs
That’s crazy for a Junior Meet though….
Junior Pan Pacs next Summer? If so, where? How will that team be selected?
Meet will be held Aug 17-20 at UBC in Vancouver

How about announcing a CEO?
That won’t happen any time soon. USA Swimming is dealing with a really ugly sex trafficking lawsuit, and they just failed to get the charges dismissed. The victim has them dead to rights on a negligence claim (as in, USA Swimming counsel admitting in writing to “failing” her), so they can’t let it go to trial either.
No one is taking the CEO job only to have a massive settlement to a victim of sexual abuse dominate the headlines shortly after they are hired.
Surprised this comment has gotten zero traction/reaction with the word “trafficking” in it. I’ve become desensitized to the word “abuse” in the articles/comments here, but this word caught my attention.
That just happens to be the specific civil statute that the case was filed under, but it’s a pretty bad look for the organization if you read the filings. They are essentially alleging that USA Swimming knew about a high profile coach abusing athletes for years, and did nothing to stop it.
As I mentioned earlier, they also have evidence of USA Swimming trying to get out in front of the story with a hasty PR attempt, accidentally admitting guilt, and then deleting the response when they realized it. Like I said, it’s a mess.
Ask yourself — do you think USA Swimming is going to have an easy time convincing a judge/jury that they don’t have a… Read more »
