Rachel Moody of Rice University was named Conference-USA’s Swimmer of the Week after her rec0rd-setting performance at the Houston Quad meet. Moody broke the school record in the 100 breast, going 1:01.71, and just missed the 200 breast school record by a hair with her 2:15.27. She also swam breaststroke on the winning 400 medley relay for the Owls, who topped Houston and Tulane at the meet while falling to LSU.
North Texas senior Catherine Johnson was named C-USA Diver of the Week after sweeping the diving events against SMU. She scored 263.32 on 1-meter and 299.47 on 3-meter (topping the closest competitor by over 60 points) for her first career C-USA weekly award.
