(NLI PHOTOS) Two Sign Letters of Intent to Swim For University of Houston

A pair of swimmers have signed their National Letters of Intent to swim for the University of Houston in the last week.

Above, Cait Horner, who swims with Newport News, VA based South Eastern Virginia Aquatics (SEVA), has signs a NLI to swim for the University of Houston to swim for Coach Rich Murphy and the Cougars.

The Grafton High School senior from Yorktown, VA, specializes in sprint freestyle and backstroke and was a finalist in both the 50 and 100 Freestyle earlier this year at the Virginia High School AA championships.

Horner joins a Houston squad under the guidance of 1st year head coach Murphy.  “During my official visit I knew this was the place for me.  The university was very welcoming, the girls on the team were great, and the pool and training facilities were first class…Go Coogs!”

Victoria Padial, below was snuck out of Crawfish Aquatics and St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to head just west to Houston.

Padial is a freestyle/backstroker, with yards bests of 53.9 and 58.7 in the 100 yard free and 100 yard backstrokes.
