Bruce Rock, a former swim coach at Mountain View High School on the northwest side of Tucson, Arizona, was arrested this week on five counts of “sexual exploitation of a minor”.
The 49-year old was arrested on Thursday, and appeared before a court on Friday represented by a public defender.
According to local officials, he was arrested after police were tipped off about someone uploading child pornography to at least one social media site, which they believe to have been Rock.
In addition to his work with Mountain View High School, he owns the Pima Aquatic Club, which is a USA Swimming club. USA Swimming didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
According to his bio on the Pima Aquatic Club website, Rock played college water polo at Santa Ana Junior College, and in 2000 completed an Ironman triathlon. He came to Arizona in 2004, where he began coaching in the Pima County League and at the Northwest YMCA in 2007.
Also according to his bio, Rock is married and has two college-aged children.
Rock was charged under statute 13-3553:
A. A person commits sexual exploitation of a minor by knowingly:
1. Recording, filming, photographing, developing or duplicating any visual depiction in which a minor is engaged in exploitive exhibition or other sexual conduct.
2. Distributing, transporting, exhibiting, receiving, selling, purchasing, electronically transmitting, possessing or exchanging any visual depiction in which a minor is engaged in exploitive exhibition or other sexual conduct.
B. If any visual depiction of sexual exploitation of a minor is admitted into evidence, the court shall seal that evidence at the conclusion of any grand jury proceeding, hearing or trial.
C. Sexual exploitation of a minor is a class 2 felony and if the minor is under fifteen years of age it is punishable pursuant to section 13-705.

I think he should be put in general population and let the bad guys take care of them,the same thing they should have done with Brian Hindosn. It is so worng what they have done and they should pay for it! May be I have a different opinion!
i agree. i had a neighbor and close family friend who was a major childporn distributor. he never filmed it, but he knowingly bought and sold it over the internet for years, eventually to undercover cops. he was a former softball coach and has a teenage daughter. did he ever think about innocent children in those pictures and videos? no. maybe cynthia can comment on this, but a large portion of prisoners were abused as children. i say let them serve mob justice on these perves. it rubs me the wrong way when someone directly involved with children distributes that garbage
