Kate Douglass will not qualify for the 2023 World Aquatics Championships in the (W) 200 Individual Medley due to Bella Sims and Katie Grimes.

I assume you meant to say Alex Walsh and Leah Hayes. Grimes and Sims have PBs of 2:12 and 2:14

I have successfully got under the skin of another poster. Note the spelling (Weinstien) from the imposter.

I don’t think it’s that you’ve gotten under anyone’s skin as much as you just get on our nerves. To get under someone’s skin you have to say things that bother them that are based in truth, you’re just full of nonsense that nobody believes is in any way rooted in reality

how did you mess up this bad?? The only events I can see those two being favored to win over any other American is like… the 400 IM SCY?

Yeah but that’s also a sign we are dealing with a high quality troll here. You can’t even tell if it is one.

Neither of them can beat her in that event. You serious?

if she swims a 2:12 in at trials, she wont even get top 5. She needs to be 2:08 to make it, and thats still pushing it. I was hoping to see a 2:09 from her at this meet, as that would be in line with her other great swims.

After posting a personal best time in the W 50 FR (24.40), I have my doubts.

She swam 2:12 IM two days ago, which is kind of underwhelming after her 1:48 yards

In addition, Leah Hayes is not going to lie down for Kate Douglass in the women’s 200 meter individual medley.

Not a bad start. Hope she and her UVA teammates can take it up a few more notches before Nationals.

Shoutout to every swimmer who gives interviews to Swimswam or any other media outlet.
Meanwhile, mister Remel is still refusing to talk to the media to the point where his Florida teammates can’t give interviews when he’s competing.

This what the local Atlanta press reported:

Oh brother!

Awsi Dooger

Contrast to Mikaela Shiffrin, who failed repeatedly in Beijing but stood up and answered every question, then responded with a phenomenal season this year.

Mikaela does not need Winter Olympics medals to justify her legendary status. Unlike swimming, skiing has a legitimate pro circuit.

All for letting people do what they want, for the most part, but this is a bit much.

It’s like they’re trying to alienate people.

Edit – And it’s not like the rest of the squad couldn’t set conditions on these interviews. “Don’t ask about Dressel.”

Then it’s up to each outlet to decide if they want to agree or not. It’s just weird to have a blanket “no media” thing going on.

Does that explain no KL interviews.

Breezeway

What a joke! So everybody suffers because of one person can’t explain why he quit in the middle of a championship. Wonder what their agents and sponsors think

Tracy S

I can’t agree more!

That’s being a PRO means!

Yikes

I feel like this weird aloofness and secrecy is just making people MORE curious and invested in finding out what’s going on.
