SAN LUIS OBISPO – The California Baptist University men’s and women’s swim and dive teams took part in the first road competition of the season Saturday, as they took on the Cal Poly Mustangs in San Luis Obispo. The Lancers combined to take first in 21 of the 28 swimming events and managed to sweep all four diving events as well.

The swimming portion of the day concluded first, which was good news for CBU, as both sides of the Lancer program held comfortable leads by that point. Those scores increased once diving finishes were factored in as the men pulled away with a final score of 177-121 while the women also won comfortably, 168-132.

Patricia Van Law and Remi Fabiani each had a stellar day in the pool, as both Lancers won all four events in which they competed. In total, 15 different Lancers won individual events, including three divers in four events.
