USA Men’s National Water Polo Team To Host Serbia In California This December

Irvine, CA – November 7 – The USA Men’s Senior National Team will return to the pool this December for the first time since claiming gold at the 2019 Pan American Games and qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games. They welcome a big challenge in defending Olympic champions, Serbia. The two teams will meet in three matches in Southern California starting on December 18 at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, CA at 7pm. From there, the two teams head north to the Torrance Aquatic Center in Torrance, CA for a 7pm match on December 20. The series closes further north on Sunday, December 22 when the teams square off at Dos Pueblos High School in Santa Barbara, CA at 1pm.

“The Men’s National Team is excited to host one of the best teams in the world and use it as an opportunity to learn and grow in preparation for Tokyo,” said Jesse Smith, 4x Olympian and Men’s National Team Captain. He added, “We love the support of our fans and it makes it really fun to play the game when you’ve got a big home crowd cheering you on. We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the pool deck this December.”
