Rising high school senior Emily Clements, who’s been a key part of Andover High School’s run of MIAA Division I championships, has announced her verbal commitment to Brown University.

In high school competition, Clements has racked up the wins at the annual Massachusetts fall championships. She won the 200 IM and 100 free as a freshman and the 200 IM and 500 free as a sophomore, and finished 4th in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 100 free last year a junior. Additionally, she’s been a relay stalwart, as each of the six relays she’s been on at those championships has won.
On the club side, Clements swims for Phoenix Swimming of Haverhill, Massachusetts. She tend to focus more on backstroke in long course competition, where’s she a summer junior nationals qualifier in both the 100 and 200 backstrokes.
She should be an immediate point scorer for Brown, as her lifetime bests in the 200 back and 400 IM would’ve made the B-final at the 2019 Ivy League championships.
