Us team needs to keep on keeping on. We took a hard punch early and it is time to show how tough we are. Others will of course medal, but we need to show a positive trajectory. After all these years I still bleed red, white& blue.

I can’t see Mike losing the 200 fly. Who can beat him? No one if he swims his race.

Agreed if he is on his game like at trials in this event he will win for sure. I just hope
He is on

What about the womens 200 IM final?!?! Ye Shiwen vs. Caitlin Leverenz!!!! How could you leave out possibly the best event in the entire meet! haha!

You think Leverenz can challenge? I hope so… But I’m just not sure. I guess I was assuming after the 400 IM that she wouldn’t improve much but now that I think about it they are way different races

after the 400IM I can´t see any real race on 200 IM.. I would not get really scared if Ye blows out the WR..

Well i think she can be 2:08…but who knows what YE can do…

Is anyone optomistic that the once impossible 200 IM record might go down?
Maybe not this year, but next years world champs look out!!!

For finals…

Women 200 fr: I would love to see Schmitt get a gold, but Muffat will be tough to beat. I had pellegrini for bronze. Franklin would need to get a good front half to beat her in case she can’t make up all the ground.

Men 200 fl: it’s hard to say Phelps is a shoo in for Gold here. If he’s on form he
Could get the three peat. The field was tight though. I think Clary has a chance at a bronze but I think he will be touched out.

W 200 IM Finals: I think shiwen is dangerous here… Did not expect this record to be touched but it’s possible. I said leverenz for… Read more »

M- 100 free: I really think Adrian can go for a bronze. I don’t know if Id pick Magnussen as my favorite anymore. I’m gonna have to go with Agnel. Cielo worried me a little bit but I’m a huge fan so hope it was just a rusty prelims. Jones. Oils definetely final. He’s really made a comeback from his horrible 2010-2011

W- 200 fl SF: I gotta say Hersey looked great! But I had Gandy in my picks so I’m pretty thrown off here. I like Judit Ignacio, the young Spanish girl, to get a spot in finals. Of course I’m all for USA but I’m a fan of swimming internationally. I hope Spain can do well with Belmonte… Read more »

I would like to hear what folks think of Jones’ swim. He looked good at 48.6. Adrian gold, Jones top 5-6?

Jones had more to give in that race he wasnt giving a max effort I think. He wants to peak in finals and I think he will make it after seeing that

Nice editing guys! Haha. Seems like the amount of content you guys have been putting up this Olympics has started to fatigue you! Hang tough, it’s “just” Day 4.

I think the 800 free relay will be close. I see Agnel anchoring and trying to reel Lochte/Phelps (probably Phelps) in on the end. He’s already got the psychological edge of being the gold medalist and working that magic in the 400 free relay. I can see him dropping a 1:42 and the race coming down to a touch. The rest of his team will have to step up, but I think this will be a pretty exciting race between USA/France. I think USA will out touch France, and Phelps will… Read more »

I hope phelps anchors and pulls off the win. Then the media could be nicer to
Him
