Watch GS Aquatics Kids ‘Rock The Blocks’ Down Under

For your dose of #WednesdayWisdom, look no further than to the eyes and smiles of children thoroughly enjoying what our sport is all about. In this playful and refreshing video, the young athletes of the GS Aquatics club in Noosaville, Queensland, Australia, remind us to take time and enjoy the enthusiasm and camaraderie that entails swimming among friends. Take a look at the on-deck and in-pool energy of the youngsters at their Swim Club’s Championships to help remind yourself what got you hooked on your own aquatic adventure in the first place.

Before the swimming action starts, the video’s unique introduction pays homage to past swim coaching days, including footage of Aussie Tracey Wickham’s 1978 world record. GS Aquatics club coaches Peter Diamond and Brian Stehr, who have 60 years’ worth of experience between them, give us a campy glimpse into coaching history, complete with ‘antiquated’ stop watches.

Have fun watching the young athletes ‘Rock the Blocks’ at Good Shepherd Lutheran College in Noosaville to infuse some positive energy into your day.

As a bonus, Olympian Jake Packard also took the time to greet young athletes and even take to the pool in a friendly race. You can see his breaststroke talents below in the video set to a Justin Timberlake track.
