Sara Gyertyanffy is a citizen of both Italy and Hungary, and currently represents Imolanuoto under Coach Tamas Gyertyanffy.  She has earned podium finishes at Italian Junior Nationals multiple times, and has participated in European Junior Nationals where she excelled with an outstanding 31.58 over 50 meters breaststroke.  Sara’s personal bests converted from long course meters would have landed her high in the A-final for three events at the 2016 C-USA meet, with a potential win for the 100 fly and top 4 finishes for the 100 breast and 200 IM as well.

“I am excited to join FIU with the positive people, good organization, great facilities and wonderful weather.  I have great trust in the university and team.”

Sara’s top times (LCM):

  • 100 breast- 1:11.06
  • 100 fly- 1:00.68
  • 200 IM- 2:17.89

Stephanies’s top times (LCM):

  • 100 fly- 1:01.85
  • 200 fly- 2:18.66
