Bryant Men Fall to Harvard

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University men’s swimming and diving team saw its four-match win streak snapped on Friday night as Harvard earned a 165-120 victory in Cambridge.

The Bulldogs grabbed one first-place finish on the evening as Ben Schulte (Tumon, Guam) won the 100 breast with a time of 57.20. It was only the second time he swam the event this season. Schulte also finished second in the 200 breast.

Bryant also received strong performances from Colin Curtin (Wethersfield, Conn.), Tavish Boyle (Springfield, N.J.), Zachary Hannon (Marlborough, Conn.) and Kevin Sullivan (East Lyme, Conn.). Curtin finished second in the 100 back with a season-best time of 52.51. Boyle finished third in the 100 breast, Hannon posted a fourth-place finish in the 50 free and Sullivan was Bryant’s top scorer in both diving events. Sullivan shattered his previous personal bests with scores of 214.65 (3 meter) and 206.25 (1 meter).

The Black and Gold return to the pool in two weeks when they compete in the Harold Anderson Invitational hosted by Rhode Island.
