Emily Neubert is a butterfly specialist originally from Waco, Texas. After graduating from Midway High School Neubert chose to attend Texas A&M, where she earned NCAA All-America honors as a senior. Although she is also a freestyler, her best event is the 100 butterfly. Neubert is a Business Honors major, and was the valedictorian of her high school – she was also a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish club. Born Feb. 24, 1993 Neubert was raised in Waco, with her brother and two sisters. Neubert’s brother, Jacob, is also a student-athlete on Baylor’s basketball team. Neubert also plays the flute, and her favorite Aggie tradition is the midnight yell – she also says that her favorite set is 25’s drill butterfly. In March 2015 she was awarded the NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming & Diving Elite 89 Award winner, which is given to the student-athlete with the highest GPA who competes at the NCAA Championship. Neubert was A&M’s third Elite 89 Winner in the six years of the award’s existence.

Texas A&M
2011-2012
As a freshman Neubert posted two NCAA ‘B’ cuts in both the 100 and 200 butterfly. She was listed in the top five on the team in the butterfly events, and was one of the top-10 fastest swimmers on the team in the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle.

2012-2013
Neubert repeated her freshman season, posting two more NCAA ‘B’ cuts in the butterfly events.

2013-2014
Neubert had her first at the SEC Championships – she competed in the ‘C’ finals of the butterfly events, coming in fourth in the 200 and first in the 100. She also went a best time in the 100 freestyle.

2014-2015
Neubert is currently in her senior season as an Aggie. She qualified for her first NCAA Championships, finishing 40th in the 100 butterfly and 43rd in the 200 butterfly. She picked up an 11th-place finish as a member of the 400 medley relay. She earned the NCAA Elite 89 Award.

National Competition
Neubert qualified for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, finishing 96th overall in the 100m butterfly. She was a three-time high school All-American in the 100 butterfly, and a two-time All-American in the 50 freestyle. She was also a four-time state champion at Midway High School.
