Lara Grangeon of Font-Romeu broke a long-standing French national record in the 400 IM in the finals of the 2015 Elite Championships in Limoges. Grangeon won the event in 4:37.55, eclipsing the mark of 4:38.23, set by both Camille Muffat of Nice and Joanne Andraca of Hyères at the 2008 French Olympic Trials in Dunkerque.
Grangeon, who had already qualified for the 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia in 200 fly and 200 IM, earned a third bid on Sunday in the 400 IM. Her splits were:

Grangeon is one of France’s most polyvalent talents. At France’s 2014 Short Course Nationals, she won the 800 free, 1500 free, 200 fly, 400 IM, and picked up silver medals in the 200 back, 200 breast, and 200 IM.

When she did so well in the other events, I figured she’d get this record. The 400 IM is her best event.
That’s a solid swim. If she can get down to the 34 range she’s got a shot at getting a selected swim.
