Competitor named Official NCAA®Championship Swim Lane

Competitor® is proud to announce that the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA®) has named it as the official lane line for all NCAA swim championships in Divisions I, II and III.

“We are thrilled to formalize a relationship with the NCAA. It is always gratifying to have our lane lines used at the most elite level,” said Brad Underwood, Competitor president. “It truly makes a statement when you see our lanes at the USA Swimming Championships, the Olympics and the NCAA championships.”

Competitor’s Racing Lane products are used to mark swim lanes, while also quelling waves in competitive pool environments. Competitor’s Gold Medal lane lines, which were selected by the NCAA, feature six-‐inch plastic discs that rotate independently allowing the swimmer’s wave energy to be absorbed and dispersed along the channel within the lane. This creates consistent wave quelling from one lane to another, a unique benefit not found in other products on the market. Competitor Racing Lanes also feature LifeSpan+TM, a proprietary protective additive that substantially increases product life in harsh pool environments.

Competitor racing lanes have been used in numerous past NCAA championships and the new agreement will ensure that all NCAA championships will use Competitor. The agreement begins immediately with the 2015 swimming championships this month.
