Water Polo: No. 13 Indiana Heads West for Stanford Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –After a 1-1 start to year, the No. 13 Hoosiers will head to Palo Alto, California to the Stanford Invitational. Indiana will join six California schools and Hawai’i for a tournament in which all schools are ranked in the top 16 of the national rankings. Five of the eight teams — No. 1 Stanford, No. 2 UCLA, No. 4 California, No. 6 UC Irvine and No. 13 Indiana — all participated in the 2014 NCAA Championships. Rounding out the list is No. 7 San Jose State, No. 8 Hawai’i and No. 18 UC Davis.

The Hoosier water polo team last played in the Stanford Invitational in 2013. This year, just as in 2013, Indiana will be in a bracket with California, Hawai’i and UCLA. Day number one will see the Hoosiers match-up with California at 2:30 pm (ET) and a 8 pm (ET) game with Hawai’i.

On the second day will play the Bruins of UCLA at 12:10 pm (ET). The final game of the tournament will be a match up against the team from Bracket A that finishes in the same respective place.
