Cadence Johnson from Houston, Texas has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at UCLA beginning in fall 2027.
“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at UCLA! First, I want to give all glory to God for blessing me with this opportunity and guiding me throughout my journey. Thank you to Coach Jordan and Coach Graham for believing in me and providing me with this amazing opportunity! I would also like to thank my coaches on Houston Bridge Bats and my supportive teammates. I am extremely grateful to my family for their love, support, and encouragement every step of my swim journey. I’m ready to take on this next chapter, continue to grow, and pursue my goals! GO BRUINS!!! — “4’s Up””

Murphy was the team’s only finalist in the 200 IM and will graduate this spring, so the team will look to rebuild in the event.
